Robert Dyce Reid (3 August 1829 – 5 September 1900)〔 〕 was a pastoralist and politician in colonial Victoria (Australia), member of the Victorian Legislative Council. __NOTOC__ ==Early life== Reid was the third son of David Reid, surgeon R.N., and his wife Agnes, ''née'' Dyce and was born on 3 August 1829, at Inverary Park, near Goulburn, New South Wales.〔 〕 Reid went to Victoria at seventeen years of age, and settled in the Ovens district, at Reid's Creek, immediately after the opening up of the Mount Alexander goldfield.
